PL/SQL Developer

Salary: $209,800 - 214,796 per year Requirements:

• We need a Backend Java Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience in Java, Kafka, Spring WebFlux, and GraphQL.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• We are looking for a strong grasp of reactive programming concepts and how to apply them in Spring WebFlux.
• We need proven experience designing and building GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Spring Boot 2.7 or later and Spring Security 5.x is preferred.
• Knowledge of OAuth and JWT is a plus.
• We value strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• For the PL/SQL Developer role, we need 3 to 5 years of experience in an application development environment.
• We require strong proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle database technologies.
• Experience across the full software development life cycle, including analysis, design, testing, deployment, and support, is needed.
• Familiarity with GitLab and SVN version control systems is required.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Forms, Pro C, basic shell scripting, and tools such as SQL Developer or TOAD is preferred.
• Introductory knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira is required.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills are needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments, are required.
• Experience with Oracle Retail is preferred.
• Exposure to Oracle Cloud Database or Oracle Retail Product Suite is a plus.

• We develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, with strong security practices through Spring Security.
• We design and implement GraphQL APIs to enable flexible and efficient data access and updates.
• We apply reactive programming with Spring WebFlux to build non-blocking, responsive, and resilient applications.
• We manage Kafka-driven event architectures, including event streaming, topic setup, and Spring Boot integration.
• We build custom Kafka producers and consumers in Java and Spring Boot to support dependable message handling.
• We support and enhance Kafka implementations using Confluent Cloud where needed.
• We implement and maintain data management solutions using MyBatis, JDBC, and SQL.
• We deploy applications on Tomcat while maintaining high availability, performance, and maintainability.
• We use Maven for dependency management and Docker for containerization.
• We support container orchestration and scaling with Docker and Kubernetes.
• We follow test-driven development practices to improve code quality and long-term maintainability.
• We develop CI pipelines with GitLab CI and support deployments with Helm where applicable.
• For the PL/SQL Developer role, we design, develop, and test complex database programs using PL/SQL.
• We analyze, review, and document existing functionality within packages, functions, and procedures.
• We ensure database programs follow current coding standards and best practices.
• We perform SQL and application performance tuning to improve system efficiency.
• We provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production problems.
• We create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• We work in a hybrid model based in the Columbus, Ohio area.
