As a nurse with RHA will have an opportunity to practice holistic nursing and to positively impact the lives of others by providing healthcare oversight and monitoring for the people we serve.Job Responsibilities:Provide health-related training to the staff and people supported, provide routine nursing assessments, assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled, and be an active participant in each individual's person-centered plan to help them reach their fullest potential. You will interact with staff at the RHA office as well as in the residential homes.Assists RN and professional staff in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.Administers specified medications. Removes expired medications from circulation and access.Takes historical information and records persons' supported vital signs.Observes person's supported mannerisms and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment as needed.Advocates for individuals with IDDParticipates as an intricate part of the interdisciplinary team for the people we supportExcellent listening and communication skills, can pick up on nonverbal communication and is eager to work on nonstandard nursing assignments.Job Requirements:Graduate from an accredited nursing programValid state Licensed Practical Nurse certificationExperience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferredValid driver's license and auto insuranceAbility to lift between 20 and 50 pounds and provide CPR after certificationAbility to pass a background check and drug screenAbility to remain calm in crisis situationsPre-employment screening:Complete criminal backgroundName checked in the registries.
