Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients across a Newborn-to-Geriatric population in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Perform respiratory care, ventilator management, phlebotomy, and pharmacy mixing of medications as part of an independent, multi-skilled clinical role
• Participate in patient and family teaching, ensuring patient rights and privacy are protected throughout the care process
• Collaborate cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards as defined by the ANA Code for Nurses, applicable state public health codes, and relevant specialty nursing standards of clinical practice
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agency standards including AOA, HCFA Conditions of Participation, and MIOSHA requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience (required)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification (ENPC accepted in place of PALS)
• Current TNCC certification
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a rural or free-standing Emergency Department environment
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Demonstrated ability to function independently with a broad clinical skillset including respiratory care and vent management
