This is a great place to start your nursing career or continue your professional growth./ppJob Summary:/ppThe Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:/pulliUtilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status/liliActing as the service line between Med-Surg and ICU units/liliDetermining the priority of the patients problems and needs/liliDeveloping and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes/liliEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environment/li/ulpEssential Functions:/pulliCollaborate with the interdisciplinary care team/liliConducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness/liliServes as point of contact for patients care coordination throughout hospital departments/liliActs as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department/liliAdminister medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organizations policies and procedures/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulpEducation:/pulliBachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)/li/ulpCertifications:/pulliCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)/liliBLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire)/li/ulpExperience:/pulli1 year of RN experience (required)/lili6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)/li/ulpBon Secours is an equal opportunity employer./ppAs a Bon Secours associate, youre part of a Mission that matters.
