Description What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests in disciplines like chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering to established protocols to deliver reliable results.
• Ensure accuracy by analyzing results, troubleshooting any discrepancies, and conducting preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Support specimen collection processes and prepare samples for testing whenever necessary.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all procedures, assist in training new staff or students, and uphold rigorous lab quality standards.
• Keep the work environment clean and safe while complying with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• A bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• Obtaining ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment is required.
• It's essential to maintain your certification throughout your employment.
