Certified Crane Operator

Job Summary Summers Taylor is seeking a highly skilled Certified Crane Operator to join our team that works in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. The Crane Operator position is responsible for operating heavy crane equipment in a safe and appropriate manner at highway and civil heavy construction projects. This role requires a keen understanding of load capacities, site layout, and operating procedures to ensure that lifts are conducted safely and within industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating heavy machinery in a construction setting and will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Minimum Qualifications 3-5 years of crane operating experience required; bridge construction preferred Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record and current DOT physical card required CIC, NCCO or equivalent OSHA‑approved crane certification required Must be able to climb ladders, stand and walk on uneven surfaces, sit for long periods, and lift 50 pounds Duties and Responsibilities Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects Plan all lifts and use capacity charts Perform rigging and daily crane inspection Respond to hand and/or verbal instructions Observe load travel and take action to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property Listen to warning alarms and respond accordingly; monitor boom angle and drum rotation indicators Ultimate responsible person during crane or hoisting operations to ensure the pick is safe Perform daily inspections and report findings using effective verbal and written communication skills Be thoroughly familiar with crane control functions Operate crawler and hydraulic cranes for bridge construction Keep equipment clean and well maintained on an ongoing basis Benefits Stable employment Excellent pay Paid time off Medical/Dental/Vision insurance Life insurance Short‑term disability 401(k) with generous employer contributions Requirements and Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong focus on safety procedures Ability to work well in a team environment Strong focus on work ethic and quality work performance Must have reliable transportation Must pass drug screen and physical Must comply with criminal background check Must comply with I-9 and E-Verify requirements Must have a valid email address #J-18808-Ljbffr
