Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:

The Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer conducts non-invasive cardiac and vascular imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and patient care. This role ensures accurate image acquisition, proper documentation, and efficient patient scheduling within the Cardiac Graphics and Vascular Laboratories.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all non-invasive imaging procedures in Cardiac Graphics and Vascular Laboratories, including echocardiograms, TEE’s, TTE’s, stress echoes, and vascular duplexes.
  
  
• Obtain prior information for procedures, answer patient questions, and ensure courteous patient interactions at all times.
  
  
• Document all procedures accurately within the patient chart and EPIC system for billing and medical record purposes.
  
  
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures from imaging data to assist physicians in diagnosis.
  
  
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in accordance with hospital standards.
  
  
• Coordinate and prioritize patient schedules to ensure timely completion of procedures.
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Credentialed in cardiac or vascular imaging procedures with proper certification.
  
  
• Proven experience performing echocardiograms and vascular duplex imaging.
  
  
• Ability to obtain and interpret clinical information related to procedures.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to established guidelines and timeframes.
  
  
• Excellent communication skills and professional patient interaction skills.
  
  
• Must possess and include an updated driver’s license with submission.
