This role blends technical consulting with customer relationship management. The ideal candidate is skilled at uncovering the customer's true requirements and converting them into a practical, manufacturable solution. This is an on-site, hands-on position collaborating closely with customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams.Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, balancing technical requirements with business objectives - Act as the primary technical liaison between customers and the manufacturing floor, converting customer needs into actionable production solutions - Generate new business through inbound inquiries and proactive prospecting - Partner with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and customer service teams to produce accurate and timely quotes - Travel occasionally for customer site visits and industry trade shows or events - Keep detailed and up-to-date records of accounts, sales pipeline, and customer communications - Continuously build knowledge of foam materials, applications, and market trendsRequired Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical discipline - Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to navigate unclear customer requirements toward a workable solution - A natural interest in engaging with customers, paired with strong listening and communication skills that build trust - Capability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders without sacrificing accuracy - Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to juggle competing priorities - Comfortable operating in a manufacturing setting and coordinating across departments on the shop floor - Availability to work on-site full time at one of the listed locationsPreferred Qualifications: - Background in technical sales, applications engineering, or a customer-facing engineering position - Knowledge of polyurethane foam, polymer science, or materials chemistry in a practical setting - History of working within a small to mid-size manufacturing company - Exposure to medical, aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectorsWe connect top talent with vetted employers, competitive pay, and real growth opportunities.
