Accounts Payable Specialist Position Overview LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate processing of payables, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting processes along with a proactive mindset for improving workflows. This is a temp to hire opportunity and can pay up to $80K when perm. Medical benefits provided. Onsite located in Nassau County. Key Responsibilities Review, validate, and process vendor invoices in accordance with established internal controls Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure accuracy Execute timely payment processing to vendors while maintaining accuracy and completeness Assist with corporate credit card reconciliations and monthly close activities Review and process employee expense submissions in alignment with company policies Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies as needed Build and maintain professional relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders Support ongoing enhancements to accounting processes, systems, and automation initiatives Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation Participate in year-end processes, including preparation of required tax documentation (e.g., 1099 reporting) Qualifications & Skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to collaborate across teams and provide excellent internal customer support High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment Experience working with accounting systems (ERP platforms preferred) and advanced Excel skills Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Solid understanding of basic accounting principles 5+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience Please forward resumes to View email address on click.appcast.io for immediate consideration Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour Search managed by: Ginny Butindari Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
