Serves as a nurse in the school building. Presents self as a mature professional and serves as a positive role model. May supervise others as assigned by the principal, e.g. aides, volunteers, and appropriate others. Responsible for responding to routine student health needs as well as emergency situations. Responsible for conducting various health screenings and maintaining student health records. Applicants that are offered a teaching position shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based upon the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the Fairfield City School District.
