About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will be the senior financial leader, providing strategic oversight of all financial operations and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organization. This role involves developing and executing financial strategies, leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts, and providing counsel to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, cash management, investments, audits, and regulatory compliance, as well as strengthening financial systems and internal controls. A key aspect of the role is to monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and develop proactive solutions, all while aligning financial strategy with the mission-focused objectives of the organization. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a CPA certification. A minimum of 7-10 years' progressive financial leadership experience, particularly within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GAAP, nonprofit accounting principles, financial planning and analysis, and experience with multiple funding sources, grants, and contracts. Essential skills include executive-level leadership, team management, and the ability to foster collaboration. The CFO must also be adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and have advanced computer skills for financial modeling and reporting. A commitment to trauma-informed principles and practices is essential, as is the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
