Senior Database Administrator • Austin, TX

We are actively seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to lead our efforts in maintaining, optimizing, and ensuring the resilience of our database systems. If you have a deep understanding of database architecture, hands‑on experience with large-scale databases, and are passionate about ensuring data integrity and availability, we want you on our team! Key Responsibilities Oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of our database infrastructure. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply updates or patches as required. Ensure database security by establishing protocols and regularly backing up data. Collaborate with the engineering team to refine the database design for our applications. Identify and rectify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective solutions. Participate in disaster recovery drills and actual disaster recovery operations. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in database management. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior DBA team members. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator. Proficiency with popular database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB). Experience in database design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database). Strong analytical and organizational skills. Certifications in systems administration, networking, or cloud platforms. Experience in the promotional product industry or other SaaS-based companies.
