Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant role is involved in all areas of accounting. The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, intercompany reconciliations, reporting and special projects. Essential Functions Record various journal entries Balance Sheet reconciliation (ex: bank, intercompany, accruals, prepaids, payroll accruals, etc.) Intercompany coordination and reconciliations Fluctuation analysis of general ledger activity to validate accuracy and completeness of financial statements Support accounting month-end close process Assists with collections efforts Prepare various financial reports Support audits (internal, external, etc.) Prepare ad hoc requests and projects as needed Experience / Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Minimum of five years of experience in accounting Minimum of five years of Balance Sheet reconciliation experience Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Minimum of five years of experience with ERP's (Sage 500 preferred but not required) Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) CPA (Preferred) VSP Technologies provides equal opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetics, marital status, political affiliation or veteran status.
