Position Information Title: Outdoor Program Marketing Specialist Requisition Number: H00035P Category: Hourly/Work Study Location: Weber State University - Ogden, UT Pay Rate: $13.25 per hour Job Summary / Basic Function The Outdoor Program Marketing Specialist assists the Campus Recreation Marketing Coordinator in promoting the WSU Outdoor Program’s programs, services, and events. Responsibilities include managing social media content (primarily Instagram), following best practices for social media, photography, and videography; organizing and facilitating tabling events; distributing and maintaining inventory of promotional materials; conducting promotional presentations; tracking and evaluating marketing activities; participating in required training and meetings; and assisting with other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, customer service, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Experience managing and creating content for social media (primarily Instagram). Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and breaks. Eligible 50/50 work‑study status; must be enrolled full‑time with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Read, understand, and comply with all employee policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as specified by the Outdoor Program Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, Rental Manager, and Marketing Coordinator. Preferred Qualifications Passion and enthusiasm for outdoor recreation and willingness to participate in outdoor program trips. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Rush, Lightroom) and graphic design principles. Experience with photography and photo/video editing. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience with special events, tabling, and public speaking. Basic understanding of WSU Campus Recreation.
