Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for each patient, assessing their individual physical capabilities and specific treatment needs through movement analysis and physical assessments.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based techniques to improve strength, mobility, and functional independence.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment to address unique physical impairments.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting improvements and adjusting treatment strategies as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on home exercise programs and healthy lifestyle choices that support continued physical well-being.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations and professional standards to ensure a safe and compliant therapy environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or managing chronic conditions, generally focusing on adults and seniors. Your role will emphasize tailoring therapy interventions to meet the specific needs of geriatric patients, where sensitivity to their unique challenges and goals will be crucial.

Qualifications

• A valid and current physical therapy license in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to create rapports with patients and families.
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple patient schedules and treatment plans effectively.
