Step into a rewarding opportunity as a long-term substitute Speech-Language Pathologist working full-time within a supportive school environment. In this contract position, you’ll work closely with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade, providing essential therapeutic and educational services that help them communicate and succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Skills and Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in a school-based setting or with K–12 age groups preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge in evaluation, intervention, and documentation related to school SLP services
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals for a diverse K-12 caseload
- Deliver individual and group therapy, addressing speech, language, and communication needs
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
- Serve as a resource for school staff and families, providing education and guidance on speech-language issues
