Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE and 3D product design. The ideal candidate will have experience developing complex surface and solid models, assemblies, production drawings, and engineering documentation.
Job Title: Senior Design Engineer CATIA 3D Experience
Location: Springfield, MO
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D CAD models for New Product Development using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Create complex surface and solid models using Generative Shape Design (GSD).
- Perform design optimization and engineering changes based on product requirements.
- Build and validate assemblies for fit, function, manufacturability, and performance.
- Generate production drawings, GD&T annotations, and engineering documentation.
- Manage engineering changes including ECR, ECO, and ECN.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with design standards, specifications, and PLM processes.
- Marine, boat, or yacht design experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Experience with 3D surface and solid modeling.
- Knowledge of GSD, assemblies, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with engineering change management and PLM processes.
- Strong understanding of product design and manufacturing principles.
