Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for obstetric patients including labor and delivery, postpartum, and recovery
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the labor and delivery process, ensuring safe outcomes for mother and newborn
• Deliver postpartum care and patient education following delivery
• Float to the med-surg floor as needed when obstetric census is low
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care across OB and med-surg settings

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in obstetrics, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and recovery
• Ability to float to and function competently in a med-surg environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a combined OB and med-surg float role
• Familiarity with low-census float protocols in a hospital setting
