DYAD Elective Woodshop Consultant – Hempstead Elementary, Hempstead, Texas Third Future Schools is a high‑achieving network of charter schools. The Hempstead Elementary campus seeks a DYAD Woodshop Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students. Position Summary This role is part of the DYAD program, which provides community‑based expertise to bridge classroom learning and real‑world experience. DYAD consultants deliver hands‑on learning opportunities in arts and related creative fields. Key Responsibilities Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in art. Develop and implement own curriculum aligned to the elective taught. Independently plan, lead, and manage a class reflecting expertise and program expectations. Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment. Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period. Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations. Ensure students participate in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences. Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership. Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction. Use expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences. Contribute positively to the school culture and DYAD program integrity. Create opportunities for parents and families to see student accomplishments through showcases, presentations, displays, or other demonstrations. Qualifications Relevant skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in art or a related creative field. Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting. Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills. Ability to provide structured, engaging, experience‑based learning. Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement. Compensation This is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
