Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Vocational training in a production or manufacturing environment preferred Additional technical training in quality assurance or plastics manufacturing is a plus Experience Requirements Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably within the plastics industry Experience with quality control processes and testing procedures Understanding of quality systems, data processing, and manufacturing operations Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment preferred Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills Experience identifying root causes and resolving quality-related issues Job Duties Perform quality inspections and quality checks across all manufacturing departments Conduct laboratory and physical testing of film products according to applicable standards Collect production samples and perform required quality testing procedures Identify and investigate root causes of quality issues, including customer returns Maintain accurate records of quality processes, procedures, and test results Ensure quality documentation is accessible to appropriate personnel Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory testing equipment Monitor and maintain laboratory supply inventory Perform housekeeping duties within the laboratory and work areas Follow all company safety policies and procedures Develop an understanding of all materials used throughout the manufacturing process Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift. Ability to climb stairs and work in temperatures up to 90F for limited periods Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 35 pounds when required. Ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
