Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at PORT ORANGE NURSING AND REHAB CENTER in Port Orange, FL, hiring Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Nursing team members provide direct resident care, including medication administration (for RNs/LPNs), assistance with activities of daily living (for CNAs), and monitoring and documenting changes in resident condition. Daily responsibilities include following care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, supporting rehabilitation goals, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Staff participate in shift handoffs, communicate with residents and families, and help promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The role may involve working varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on resident needs. Qualifications Current, active Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or valid Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Demonstrated clinical care skills appropriate to role level, including basic nursing procedures, resident assessment, and safe medication administration (for RNs/LPNs). Experience providing hands-on support with activities of daily living, mobility assistance, and personal care in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting (especially for CNAs). Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, residents, and families. Knowledge of infection prevention, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance in skilled nursing or hospital environments. Ability to prioritize tasks, follow written care plans and verbal instructions, and maintain detailed and accurate documentation. Commitment to empathy, respect, and person-centered care for residents of diverse backgrounds and ages.
