This may include staying past regularly scheduled hours until staff arrive for the next shift or back-up staffing is arranged.Report to work during inclement weather to ensure adequate supervision and care of all individuals in the home. This may include sheltering in place during a hurricane.Treat all people with dignity and respect, ensuring all personal rights are met including communicating in a friendly and professional manner with all people, including individuals in the home, coworkers, visitors and customers.If hired as a driver, operate large capacity vehicles (10-12 passenger vans, wheelchair buses) to provide transportation to individuals living in the home to/from training center, medical appointments, home visits and any community outing. Comply with all DOT regulations and local laws relating to operation of a vehicle.Education Qualifications:High School Diploma (required)18 years of age or older (required)Read, write and comprehend English with the ability to remain calm and communicate during a crisis (required)Work Experience/Related Qualifications:Previous working knowledge utilizing household appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, oven, etc.) (required)Ability to stand for long periods of time, engage in household tasks which include bending and lifting, pushing wheelchairs, use of hands for tasks such as writing, typing, handling small objects (required)If driver, must be able to operate large capacity vehicles (10-12 passenger vans and wheelchair buses) by driving safely and navigating trafficValid FL Driver's License in good standing at all times (preferred)Hoyer lift, van lift, and adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, etc.) (preferred)Quest, Inc. is a drug free workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
