The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience in the specialty is highly preferred. Job Responsibilities Answer telephone/intercom calls in a polite manner and communicate information to the appropriate personnel, family, or visitor. Assist with the pre‑cepting of new employees. Communicate pertinent patient information to the appropriate individual (MD, supervisor, discharge planner, etc.). Comply with unit and departmental scheduling guidelines. Contribute to the unit’s overall patient satisfaction score through hourly rounding (4 Ps), escalation of complaints, and service recovery. Delegate and prioritize work assignments according to the competence and patient‑care needs of each associate. Demonstrate principles of self‑care and support peers. Ensure the patient's environment is orderly and all excess equipment is removed. Sends patient belongings to security as appropriate. Implement the policies and procedures of the hospital and Nursing Department. Initiate, develop, and revise multidisciplinary plans of care and initiate discharge planning and teaching in accordance with department standards. Integrate psychosocial, physical, nutritional, and rehabilitation needs of the patient within the plan of care. Perform all other duties as assigned. Perform assessment and reassessment of patients according to applicable department standards and identified tools. Perform interventions in accordance with current policy and procedures, safety guidelines, and infectious disease principles. Promote patient flow efforts by actively participating in patient movement and escalating barriers to management. Promote patient satisfaction through individual activities as evidenced by feedback from patients and families. Promote the professional image of nursing through community activities such as hospital committees, civic organizations, parish nursing, and volunteerism. Provide bedside shift reports. Provide patient/family education according to the plan of care and document it. Set goals and formulate appropriate multidisciplinary interventions to meet these goals. Utilize the nursing process with a multidisciplinary approach in the delivery of patient care. Ensure that all orders are carried out and documented. Job Qualifications / Education / Training / Certification / Licensure Current New Jersey License as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS Health Care Provider Certification. Successful completion of all NBIMC Orientation Programs and Documentation.
