Product Lead - Mobile Gaming

Role Description

Appodeal is looking for a Product Lead to drive the product strategy and execution for our mobile gaming business unit. You will own the full product lifecycle across our portfolio of games—including WordMaker, Solitaire, and Brick Blast—focusing on improving key metrics such as retention, engagement, and monetization. This role combines hands-on product management with strategic ownership, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong focus on experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

Product Leadership & Strategy

• Own and drive product strategy across the mobile games portfolio
• Identify growth opportunities and define product vision aligned with business goals
• Continuously improve core product metrics (retention, engagement, monetization)
• Translate high-level goals into clear product initiatives and roadmaps
• Make prioritization decisions based on data, impact, and speed

Hands-On Product Management

• Act as a hands-on PM, directly working on features, experiments, and improvements
• Write PRDs, define hypotheses, and lead feature development end-to-end
• Deeply analyze product performance and user behavior
• Independently pull and analyze data to support decisions
• Rapidly iterate based on experiment results and insights

Experimentation & Data-Driven Development

• Own and drive experimentation processes (A/B testing, hypothesis validation)
• Partner with data teams to design and analyze experiments
• Build a strong culture of fast iteration and continuous learning
• Challenge assumptions using data and measurable outcomes

AI & Product Efficiency

• Actively leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, GPT-based tools) in daily workflows
• Identify opportunities to accelerate product development using AI
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve team productivity through tooling
• Promote AI-driven workflows across the team

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, game design, UA, monetization, and data teams
• Ensure alignment between product vision and execution
• Facilitate fast decision-making and unblock teams when needed
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ownership & Impact

• Take full ownership of product outcomes, not just delivery
• Drive measurable business impact through product decisions
• Operate in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
• Continuously optimize for speed, quality, and scalability

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of improving product metrics (retention, engagement, monetization)
• Strong background in mobile gaming / casual games / ad-monetized products
• Hands-on approach — comfortable being directly involved as a PM (writing PRDs, running experiments, analyzing data)
• Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions using evidence
• Experience working in fast iteration environments with frequent experimentation cycles

Requirements

• AI-fluent — actively using AI tools in daily workflows with clear examples of impact
• Ability to code at a working level:
• Pull data independently
• Automate routine workflows
• Build simple prototypes without blocking on engineering
• Familiarity with analytics tools and product metrics tracking
