Senior Asset Management (Real Estate Funds) Associate

Overview The practice focuses on advising on the structuring, formation, and management of open-end and closed-end real estate fund products, including co-investment vehicles and other real estate investment products. The role involves representing real estate fund sponsors and investors in legal, regulatory, and transactional matters. Key duties include leading teams during fundraising processes for real estate funds, coordinating fund closings, and supporting due diligence for real estate acquisitions and investments. The associate drafts, reviews, and negotiates fund offering documents, partnership agreements, side letters, co-investment vehicle documents, disclosure documents, and investor communications. The position requires conducting legal research, analyzing and monitoring regulatory requirements affecting real estate funds, and identifying and resolving legal issues related to fund operations and investor relations. This role involves collaborating with colleagues in tax, real estate, finance, and regulatory practices, supervising junior team members, and assisting partners with client relationship maintenance.
