Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative based in Livonia, MI. The Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative will support commercial clients by responding to policy inquiries, processing endorsements, assisting with renewals, and preparing certificates of insurance. Responsibilities include reviewing coverage details, updating client information, tracking documentation, and coordinating with agents and carriers to resolve issues promptly and accurately. The role also involves handling billing questions, following up on outstanding items, and maintaining thorough records in the agency management system. The representative will provide professional, courteous service, proactively communicate with clients, and contribute to a collaborative office environment focused on customer satisfaction and retention. Qualifications Experience in commercial lines insurance customer service, including handling policy changes, renewals, and certificates of insurance. Strong client service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, handle inquiries professionally, and build positive business relationships. Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry. Comfort using agency management systems, office productivity tools, and carrier portals for policy servicing and record-keeping. Basic understanding of commercial insurance coverages (e.g., general liability, property, auto, workers’ compensation), with willingness to learn and expand knowledge. Ability to work on-site in Livonia, MI, in a team-oriented environment, while managing individual responsibilities independently. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in insurance, business, or a related field is beneficial.
