Position Overview

We have been retained by a well-established, multi-entity regional company to recruit a strategic and operationally grounded VP of Finance . Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this executive will assume primary governance over accounting operations, financial reporting integrity, cash flow management, and internal control frameworks across all business units.

This role is tailored for a financial leader adept at managing contract/job-cost accounting, supervising multi-department teams, and partnering with executive leadership to drive fiscal stability and growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Departmental Governance: Direct Controllers and department managers across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger accounting.
• Executive Financial Reporting: Consolidate monthly and annual financial statements; present clear risk assessments, financial health metrics, and strategic updates to the CFO.
• Operational Accounting & Budgeting: Oversee long-term contract accounting schedules, build corporate operating budgets, and optimize cash management procedures.
• Risk Mitigation & Contract Oversight: Review commercial contract terms, manage corporate insurance coverages, and ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Team Leadership: Lead talent acquisition, performance evaluations, and professional development within the finance department.

Required Qualifications

• Leadership Experience: 5+ years in a senior executive capacity (Financial Controller, Finance Director, or VP of Finance).
• Financial Competencies: Deep expertise in job-cost/project financial management, multi-entity accounting, and internal control systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating mid-market enterprise ERP platforms and advanced financial software tools.
• Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, MBA, or CMA credentials are a plus.
• Communication: Strong executive presentation skills; bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly valued.

• Base Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 (commensurate with background)
