MDM Data Quality & Cleansing Specialist

We are seeking an MDM Data Quality & Cleansing Specialist for a 6-month contract with potential for extension. This position will support enterprise Master Data Management initiatives through data research, validation, cleansing, and remediation. The role will focus heavily on researching and correcting inaccurate or incomplete entity data, resolving records generated through MDM match/merge processes, and maintaining overall master data quality. This is primarily a data quality and research-focused position rather than a highly technical IT role. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented and comfortable researching organizations using sources such as IRS databases, Chambers of Commerce, and public records to validate information such as tax IDs, nonprofit status, and entity details. Location: Wayne, PA Schedule: Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week, including Thursday Hours: Approximately 8:30 AM–5:30 PM with some flexibility Duration: 6-month contract with potential to extend Interview: One 45-minute virtual interview Responsibilities Review, research, and remediate data exceptions generated through MDM match/merge processes. Research organizations and entities to identify or validate missing and inaccurate information, including tax IDs and nonprofit status. Utilize IRS resources, Chambers of Commerce, public records, and other approved sources to validate entity information. Perform data cleansing activities including standardization, deduplication, formatting corrections, and attribute validation. Validate entity resolution and survivorship outcomes against established business rules. Identify potential root causes of recurring data quality issues. Verify the completeness and accuracy of master data using established tools and quality checks. Perform authorized bulk data updates and corrections. Monitor data quality reports, dashboards, and exception queues. Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Stewards, business teams, and MDM Operations to resolve data issues. Document research and remediation decisions and maintain appropriate audit trails. Escalate complex data or policy-related issues when necessary. Requirements 2+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, data cleansing, or related data operations. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering, and data-cleaning techniques. Experience working with an MDM platform such as Informatica or a similar application. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies within large sets of data. Ability to interpret and apply business rules, matching logic, and data survivorship standards. Ability to independently manage multiple assignments and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be located within approximately 50 miles of Wayne, PA and able to work onsite 2 days per week. Preferred: Experience with match/merge or entity-resolution workflows, basic SQL or other data-query tools, familiarity with data governance and metadata principles, and experience working with customer, partner, or other party master data. #J-18808-Ljbffr firstPRO, Inc
