Physician - Psychiatry - Psychiatrist - RCMC

Position: Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatrist Location: Rush Copley Medical Center, Aurora, Illinois Work Type: Full Time Responsibilities Balanced 0.50/0.50 FTE hybrid position designed for physicians who value both acute consultative work and outpatient care. Inpatient Services (0.50 FTE): Provide expert psychiatric consultation and stabilization within the Emergency Department, general medical‑surgical floors, and the Intensive Care Unit. Outpatient Care (0.50 FTE): Manage a diverse clinical portfolio within the outpatient practice, focusing on evidence‑based treatment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders. Academic Engagement: Participate in Departmental Grand Rounds to contribute to ongoing education and clinical discourse. Specialized Focus: Preferred candidates have interest or experience in Consultation‑Liaison, Emergency Psychiatry, and Addiction Psychiatry. Qualifications & Requirements Medical degree (MD/DO) and completion of an ACGME‑accredited Psychiatry residency. Board status: American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) Board Certified or Board Eligible. Minimum of two (2) years of dedicated inpatient psychiatric experience (post‑residency/fellowship preferred). Must possess or be eligible for a permanent Illinois medical license and controlled substance registration. Must reside within 45 minutes of Rush Copley Medical Center. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $277,750 - $368,000. Includes base pay, benefits, and incentive programs such as sign‑on and retention bonuses, relocation allowances, and opportunities for increased compensation based on productivity targets.
