We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives.ResponsibilitiesNV5 is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer for our Alpharetta, GA office. The position will provide engineering design, calculations, CAD support, and project assistance for the Transportation Design group. The ideal candidate will provide design support and be able to complete assigned projects on time and within budget. The most frequent and essential work activities include:Complete roadway design plans with limited supervision.Work alone and in small groups.Use MicroStation and Inroads/Openroads software.Assist engineers and designers in the development and production of engineering plans and specifications on a variety of transportation projects.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Excel and Outlook.QualificationsBS in Civil Engineering5+ years of previous roadway design or other transportation engineering experienceGA PE license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)Knowledge of Microstation and Inroads/Openroads software a plusGDOT and/or Municipal experience preferredMust be willing to travel on occasionMust possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment is preferredThe characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
