RTC Associate, Agricultural Specialist

RTC Associate

As a RTC Associate, you will work with our team of Agriculture Industry consultants to analyze, identify, document qualifying agricultural activities across a variety of operations. This role will work directly with farmers, ranchers, producers, and agribusiness clients to understand their operations, evaluate qualifying activities, and support the preparation of R&D tax credit studies and documentation.

Essential Functions

• Support analysis of agricultural processes, operational improvements, irrigation systems, livestock operations, precision agriculture, and other qualifying farming and ranching activities
• Assist with fieldwork activities including client interviews with farmers, ranchers and agribusiness owners, facility tours, gathering relevant information, reviewing operational procedures and documentation, and summarizing findings
• Support preparation of cost lead schedules, cost summary schedules, related calculations, and draft reports summarizing findings
• Assist in ensuring client projects are completed in accordance with firm standards and within established timelines and budgets
• Coordinate project and delivery schedules to help meet client deadlines and expectations

Work Environment

• Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Travel Required

• Moderate travel may be required for client site visits, agricultural conferences, trade shows, and internal meetings

Required Education and Experience

• 1 – 2 years research tax credit experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Experience working with farmers, ranchers, producer cooperatives, or agricultural operations strongly preferred.
