Sr. Financial Analyst

Senior Financial Analyst - Sales About this role Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Senior Financial Analyst who can provide critical business partner support to our Sales team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Sales with respect to budgeting, forecasting, financial management, reporting, analysis, and mission critical priorities. Collaboration and teamwork will be key as you’ll work with individuals across many different business units. What you’ll do Prepare timely and accurate value-added financial analysis using our various systems to give senior management the critical insights necessary to make proper business decisions Clearly articulate results and variances to FP&A leadership in the monthly results meetings Produce financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts Partner with various teams (Accounting, Operations, HR, Recruiting, People Analytics, etc.) to improve our data quality Leverage technology and process improvements to drive continuous innovation and quicker turnaround times Assist in knowledge transfer to new and/or other analysts What you’ll need Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance required. Major in Accounting, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related area preferred 3 to 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business analytics, financial reporting, or accounting Superior financial modeling and data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of PBCS, PowerBI and US GAAP is a plus Effective communication skills and a capacity to distill complex concepts into actionable information Excellent organization, prioritization, time management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously The ability to work independently and with a global, cross functional team to consistently deliver flawless work solutions within aggressive (and changing) time constraints Who you are Motivated, high-potential performer, with a demonstrated ability to influence and lead Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change Teachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement Consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of challenges What do we offer Gartner offers world-class benefits, highly competitive compensation and disproportionate rewards for top performers. Salary: 79,000 USD – 109,000 USD (actual salaries may vary). Base salary plus annual bonus plan or role‑based sales incentive plan.
