Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a significant impact in the lives of high school students by providing guidance and support as a dedicated School Counselor for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, to June 4, 2027, and is conveniently located near Canton, MI. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, serving as a resource and advocate for high school students seeking academic, personal, and future planning assistance.

Your expertise in counseling and understanding of high school students’ needs will help foster an environment where every learner can thrive and reach their full potential. This is a rewarding role for a motivated professional who is ready to guide students through academic and personal challenges.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with SCHOOL COUNSELOR (NT) K-12 endorsement
• Bachelor’s degree with the appropriate certification
• Previous relevant teaching experience strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of core concepts within your content area

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver responsive guidance and counseling services to a diverse caseload of high school students
• Support students’ academic achievement, college, and career exploration, and social-emotional development
• Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and families to promote student well-being and success
• Participate in student planning meetings, IEPs, and parent conferences as needed
• Promote a positive and inclusive school environment by advocating for all students
