EHS Specialist

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an EHS Specialist. Position type: Full-time Contract Duration: 6 Months Location: New Albany, OH As an EHS Specialist you will: Be responsible for planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations and Client's Safety Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering safety and orientation training programs. Be responsible for inspecting facilities to identify existing or potential hazards, recommending corrective measures, and verifying implementation. Be responsible for maintaining safety documentation including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans (PTP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). Be responsible for participating in accident and injury investigations and supporting preparation of materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance cases. Be responsible for demonstrating excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills, along with proficiency in MS Word and Excel. The ideal candidate will have: Minimum of 2+ years' experience in the construction industry in a similar role. Bachelor's Degree in an EHS discipline and/ or BCSP certification such as ASP, CHST, OHST, CSP, SMT, SMS, CET, and/or GSP. Exposure to hyperscale data center builds with working knowledge of mission-critical construction, commissioning phases, and high-risk operational environments. Experience with Functional Safety Principles (LOTO (lock out tag out), Interlocks, Guarding, Control Systems) Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience developing and implementing safety programs, conducting hazard mitigation activities, and supporting large-scale construction projects.
