Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to support patient care and clinical operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with established policies.
• Accountable for ensuring the OR team is ready for surgeries with all necessary equipment and sterile supplies.
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures and follow strict infection control protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, recognizing complications, and intervening as necessary.
• Manage rapid assessments and interventions during any shift of patient conditions, including emergencies.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to additional patient care needs, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Nebraska or eligibility to obtain before assignment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; Da Vinci system experience highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required.
• Proven experience with neuro, ortho, and trauma cases; first-time travelers not accepted.
• Experience with complex procedures such as craniotomies and spinal fusions is required.
• Must be able to work in a 100% nicotine-free environment.
