Apex Automotive Collision Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Collision Estimator / Repair Planner for our new Santa Fe Springs location.

This position is responsible for managing assigned repair orders and vehicles from beginning to end. We are looking for someone who takes full ownership of the repair process, works closely with technicians, maintains accurate documentation, and keeps each vehicle moving efficiently through production.

Responsibilities include:

• Write accurate collision estimates and supplements using CCC ONE
• Manage assigned repair orders from vehicle intake through final delivery
• Keep assigned vehicles moving through each stage of the repair process
• Perform vehicle inspections and identify visible and hidden collision damage
• Work directly with body technicians to blueprint vehicles and create a complete repair plan as a team
• Research and document OEM repair procedures
• Review insurance estimates for missing or incorrect repair operations
• Prepare and submit supplements with proper photos, invoices, OEM documentation, and supporting information
• Order all necessary parts for assigned repair orders
• Track parts orders and follow up on backordered or delayed parts
• Mirror-match replacement parts against damaged or original parts
• Verify part numbers, fitment, side, trim, options, and overall accuracy before parts are released for installation
• Identify incorrect or damaged parts immediately and coordinate returns or replacements
• Communicate with body technicians throughout the repair to confirm all required operations are being completed
• Review the repair order during production to make sure no approved operation is missed
• Coordinate body, structural, paint, mechanical, diagnostic, calibration, and sublet operations
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and appraisers regarding supplements, approvals, documentation, and repair requirements
• Follow up consistently on pending supplements and insurance approvals
• Follow up on payments related to each assigned repair order
• Confirm insurance payments, customer responsibility, deductibles, supplements, and outstanding balances before delivery
• Maintain complete and organized repair files
• Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
• Monitor repair progress and communicate delays or issues to management
• Perform quality-control inspections during and after the repair process
• Verify repairs are completed according to the repair plan and repair order
• Confirm panels, body lines, gaps, fitment, functions, warning lights, cleanliness, and overall repair quality before delivery
• Ensure all required calibrations, scans, diagnostics, and final procedures have been completed and documented
• Complete a final review of the repair order to ensure all labor, parts, sublets, and additional operations have been properly documented and billed
