About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active RN license required Certifications: - ACLS - BLS Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in a hospital setting - Candidates must possess an active RN license - ACLS and BLS certifications - Telemetry experience Description: This position requires 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Candidates must have an active RN license upon application. The unit has 47 beds consisting of 23 semi-private rooms and 1 private room. Patient ratios are typically 1:5, extending to 1:6 when necessary. Key equipment includes Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, Bladder Scanners, EKG machines, Client Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, and Vein Finders. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech Expanse. Preferred skills include surgical bariatrics, cardiac care, vascular surgery, and wound vac/dressing changes. Typical conditions cared for include vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, general surgery, telemetry, peripheral vascular disease, sepsis, atherosclerosis, GI bleeds, chest tubes, and arrhythmias. The ideal candidate is a team player, hard-working, a multi-tasker, and flexible. Floating to other areas such as Med-Surg and PCU may be required if patient volumes increase.
