Executive DirectorThe Executive Director of the Castle Rock Senior Activity Center is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, financial stewardship, operational oversight, personnel management and long-term sustainability of the organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director ensures that the Center fulfills its mission, vision and values, advances its strategic goals, and delivers high-quality programs and services that enhance the independence, health, and quality of life of older adults.The Executive Director provides leadership for all organizational operations by establishing strategic priorities, developing organizational policies, directing financial management, cultivating community partnerships, overseeing fundraising and grant development, managing the assistant directors, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and Board policies.Working collaboratively with the Board of Directors and leadership team, the Executive Director exercises independent judgment and discretion in organizational planning, financial management, personnel management, resource allocation, community relations, and operational decision-making.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Board of Directors to develop, implement, and evaluate the Center's mission, vision, strategic plan, and organizational priorities, overseeing organization operations, financial performance, programs, strategic initiatives and emerging issues.Recommend policies, operational improvements and strategic initiatives that advance the Center's mission, vision and values.Financial Leadership & Fiscal Stewardship:Provide executive oversight for all financial operations of the organization; collaborate with the Board Treasurer to develop the annual operating budget.Monitor organization financial performance and recommend strategies that strengthen long-term financial stability; ensure appropriate financial controls, accounting practices and internal procedures are maintained.Provide executive leadership for the Center's fundraising, grant development, sponsorships and philanthropic initiatives.Develop long-term funding strategies that diversify and strengthen organizational revenue, and identify new funding opportunities.Cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations, government agencies, corporate sponsors, and community leaders.Provide executive oversight for grant research, grant development and writing, grant administration, and compliance activities.Community Relations & Advocacy:Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative of the Center.Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations, government agencies, elected officials, foundations, businesses, contributors and nonprofit partners.Human Resources Leadership:Establish staffing plans and performance standards that support organizational goals and strategic priorities.Recruit, interview, hire, mentor, evaluate, and develop Assistant Directors.Approve staffing recommendations from direct reports for management positions, and oversee onboarding of new employees.Manage development and implementation of personnel policies, procedures, employment practices, ensuring compliance with employment laws and workplace safety requirements.Qualifications RequiredDemonstrated executive experience in nonprofit governance and leadership, Board relations, financial management, fundraising, grant management, human resource management and organizational development skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Outstanding written, verbal, and public presentation skills.Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.Ability to develop collaborative relationships with Board members, employees, volunteers, donors, sponsors, government agencies, foundations, businesses, and community organizations.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Finance, Recreation Administration, or a related field.Minimum of five years of executive or senior management experience, and supervisory experience.BenefitsThe compensation for this role is a range from $95,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
