Role Description The Patient Support Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mentor, OH. This position provides front-line support to patients, including greeting and checking in clients, answering questions about services and appointments, and assisting with registration and documentation. Daily responsibilities include responding to patient inquiries in person and by phone, coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, and helping resolve basic service or access issues. The specialist will update patient records, verify information, and ensure that individuals understand their care plans and next steps. This role contributes to a welcoming, organized environment that supports efficient, high-quality patient care. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Customer Support and Communication skills to interact with patients and team members in a professional, empathetic manner. Candidates should possess Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to navigate electronic health systems, resolve common access issues, and assist patients with basic technology-related questions. Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to accurately review patient information, identify issues, and elevate concerns appropriately. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize competing demands, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical setting. Comfort working with diverse populations and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Proficiency with standard office software and electronic health record systems; experience in healthcare or human services is beneficial.
