About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in Macon, Georgia, 31217!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years minimum License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience with diagnostic cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures - Ability to assist with central line insertion and management - Skills in monitoring procedural sedation and infection prevention - Familiarity with charting systems, preferably Epic - Ability to float within the facility and to other locations as needed Description: We have three Cath Labs and two EP Labs. Weekend coverage is included in call requirements. Call is expected for one weekend per month and one to two weekdays per week. Floating may be required within the facility and to other locations as needed. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine fit. If the candidate passes the clinical screen and meets guidelines, they will be reviewed by management for a final decision. Maximum time off requested is seven days. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of those holidays. Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Compliance must be met to start on time. Travelers must ensure all documentation is complete by the deadline. Failure to comply may result in a delay of two weeks. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Job requirements include experience with assisting and circulating procedures, including interventional catheterizations. Experience with monitoring and managing dysrhythmias, IV infusion pumps, and care of PICC lines is essential. Understanding of radiation and laser safety, as well as infection prevention practices is required. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with a daily census of 15-25 patients.
