CNC Machinist (2nd shift)

CNC MachinistThe key responsibilities of the CNC Machinist are:Set up and operate CNC machining centers and related equipment.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine components required for production.Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure compliance with quality standards.Make offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality and production efficiency.Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing concerns.Maintain accurate production and inspection records.Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and waste reduction.The successful CNC Machinist will have the following:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trade school education preferred.3+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation.Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.Experience using precision measuring equipment.Knowledge of GD&T principles preferred.My client can offer the following for the CNC Machinist:Ability to join a longstanding, respected organization.7% Employer 401k ContributionCollaborative, team-oriented environmentOpportunity for future growth and career development.
