Regional Supervisor

The Regional Supervisor position will oversee a portfolio that consists of the Southern Orange County area.In this role, you will guide daily operations across several affordable housing communities. You will support property teams and ensure each site runs smoothly and meets goals. You will also help maintain compliance with housing programs and standards. Your work will support both residents and team members while improving overall property results. This role requires strong organization and clear communication.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThis role will oversee daily operations of multiple Section 8 and LIHTC communities and ensure full compliance with HUD rulesManage property budgets, monitor expenses, and support financial goals across all assigned sitesLead and support property managers and on-site teams through coaching and regular guidanceConduct inspections and audits to ensure properties meet legal and program requirementsActing as a key contact between residents, staff, and public agenciesReview reports, including recertifications and rent updates, and ensure accurate submissionPosition will work with vendors and contractors to complete maintenance and improvement projectsMonitor occupancy levels and support leasing efforts to meet program guidelinesReview performance data and take action to improve results when neededRespond to concerns from residents and staff in a timely and clear wayADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop standardized operating procedures across all properties to ensure consistency and efficiency in daily operationsReview and approve hiring decisions for on-site staff, ensuring each property is staffed with qualified and aligned team membersConduct regular performance evaluations for property managers and provide structured development plans to support growthOversee risk management practices, including safety protocols, incident reporting, and insurance compliance across all communitiesLead regional meetings with property teams to review performance, share updates, and align on company goalsEnsure timely preparation and review of all regulatory reports related to HUD, LIHTC, and Project-Based Section 8 programsStay updated on changes in affordable housing laws and guide teams in adapting to new requirementsCoordinate third-party audits and respond to findings with clear corrective action plansMaintain accurate documentation for all properties to support inspections and compliance reviewsAnalyze monthly financial statements and identify trends that impact property performanceApprove major expenses and capital projects in line with budget goals and long-term plansSupport rent-setting strategies within program limits to balance affordability and revenue goalsThis role will partner with leadership to develop long-term strategies for portfolio growth and property improvementOversee resident engagement initiatives that improve satisfaction and community stabilitySupport resolution of escalated resident concerns with a fair and professional approachEnsure properties maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residentsPromote a culture of respect, inclusion, and service across all communitiesNegotiation of contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service and cost controlMonitor vendor performance and address service issues when neededOversee preventive maintenance programs to protect property value and reduce future costsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCETo succeed in this role, you will bring both experience and a strong sense of responsibility. You understand the needs of affordable housing communities and how to manage them well. You are comfortable working with different teams and handling many tasks at once. You also value clear communication and fair decision-making. Your skills help create stable and well-managed communities.Must have at least 3 – 5 years of experience in property management in a manager capacity, including regional oversight of affordable housingPossess strong knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 compliance requirementsMust have strong leadership skills and can guide and develop property teamsMust be able to manage time well and can handle multiple properties and projects at onceExperience in understand budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingCommunicate clearly and build trust with residents, teams, and partnersMust be familiar with property management systems and Microsoft Office toolsAbility to travel within the region and adjust your schedule when neededAbility to complete tasks requiring overhead work.Demonstrate ability to learn and adapt to property management software systems.Ability to lift, push, pull up to 15 lbs.Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 15 lbs.Ability to push, pull, bend and reach constantly.Ability to walk, stand constantly.Ability to walk up and down stairs safely frequently.Ability to communicate in English clearly in order to be understood by co-workers, residents, vendors and other local agencies.Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and state-required automobile insurance coverage.May perform other duties as directed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
