Position Title : Lead Retail Sales AssociateReports To : Retail Store ManagerDepartment : Retail StoresLocation : Atlanta, GAFLSA Status : Non-ExemptPosition Type : Full-Time Position Summary The Lead Retail Sales Associate is responsible for helping drive daily store execution while delivering a high-level customer experience through strong service, leadership support, and operational consistency. This role serves as a dependable presence on the sales floor by supporting teammates, assisting leadership, and helping maintain strong communication and execution throughout the store. This position demonstrates leadership qualities, strong accountability, and a consistent commitment to customer service. The Lead Retail Sales Associate helps bridge the gap between store leadership and the sales team while preparing for future growth opportunities. This role exists to help create a consistent elevated customer experience while supporting the overall success and daily operation of the store. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Lead by example on the sales floor consistently delivering exceptional customer service. Build strong customer relationships through product knowledge, communication, and proactive assistance. Help maintain a customer-first culture by supporting strong service behaviors across the team. Assist in resolving customer concerns quickly and professionally to protect the customer experience. Support leadership in ensuring the sales floor remains merchandised, recovered, and customer-ready throughout the day. Customer Experience Execution Help oversee daily recovery, replenishment, and merchandising standards to maintain a clean and organized shopping environment. Support execution of floor moves, visual updates, and seasonal merchandising changes to keep the store fresh and shoppable. Assist leadership in prioritizing operational tasks while maintaining strong customer service coverage. Help identify gaps in execution, organization, or customer experience to minimize potential impacts to store performance. Support opening and closing procedures assigned to help maintain operational consistency and efficiency. Sales & Operational Support Support daily sales goals and store performance initiatives through strong customer engagement and selling behaviors. Build advanced product knowledge to better support customers and newer team members. Support inventory processes, replenishment, and stock organization to improve product availability and operational efficiency. Help maintain strong communication between the sales floor and store leadership team. Leadership & Accountability Serve as a reliable and professional leader on the sales floor during daily business operations. Help reinforce store standards, priorities, and expectations through consistent execution and communication. Support leadership with delegation of tasks, task follow-up, and daily operational priorities when needed. Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and accountability in daily responsibilities. Continue developing leadership skills and operational knowledge in preparation for potential future growth opportunities. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Prior retail experience, typically 1-3 years in customer-facing sales or store operations. Proven ability to perform core retail tasks such as customer service, sales transactions via credit card and cash handling. Demonstrated dependability, professionalism, and ability to assist with day-to-day floor leadership, guiding peers and supporting store standards while maintaining workflow. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Basic math, communication and problem-solving skills to manage customer issues and transactions.
