Minimum Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program
• Completed CFY and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
• Active State License is Required to Start the Assignment
• BLS Certification May Be Required from AHA or ARC
• Pediatric and adult outpatient experience
• Able to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies for adults independently
• Current California SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Assignment Details

• 4 days per week
• 0800-1830
• One weekend per month on call: 0700-0900
• Float to acute care as needed

Location Highlights

Bishop offers access to the Eastern Sierra with direct proximity to outdoor destinations and a small-city setting. The city sits along U.S. Route 395 between the Sierra Nevada and White Mountains, and Laws Railroad Museum is about 5 miles from downtown. Bishop is approximately 45 miles from Mammoth Lakes and serves as a gateway to Inyo National Forest, with trail access, climbing areas, and fishing along the Owens River. Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in the White Mountains is roughly 60 miles away, and the Bishop Creek Canyon area provides lakes, campgrounds, and alpine scenery within a short drive. The community also offers access to regional air service through Eastern Sierra Regional Airport in Bishop and day-trip routes toward Yosemite-area eastern access points during the open season.
