About the Position

Job Title: RN BMT/ONC Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: BMT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years acute care BMT/Heme experience and chemotherapy administration experience required. First-timers not accepted. Weekend requirements based on unit needs. License: Current RN license Certifications: AHA BLS, ONC certification required Must-Have: Ability to float between similar units as required. Description: Provide care for patients with blood cancers receiving chemotherapy and cellular therapies. Manage treatment for patients undergoing stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapy. Comfortable working in flexible staffing ratios, as they may increase based on unit needs. Administer blood products and chemotherapy, and monitor patients for reactions. Experience with acute tumor lysis syndrome, graft-versus-host disease, and central line care is essential. Ability to communicate abnormal lab values effectively. Knowledge of neutropenic precautions and sepsis management is required. Ensure compliance with safety standards in handling cytotoxic spills and administering chemotherapy. Support interdisciplinary care and collaborate within a team-focused environment.
