Position Summary:

TheSupervisor,PerioperativeServicesisresponsiblefor thedirectfrontlinesupervision,dailyworkflowcoordination,andclinicaloversightofperioperativecoworkerswithintheassignedarea,shift,orserviceline. Theincumbentisaccountableforensuringadequatestaffingcoverage,appropriateassignmentofcoworkers,andtheefficientandsafeflowofsurgicalcasesandperioperativepatientcareactivitiesinalignmentwithdepartmentalpolicies,clinicalstandards,andregulatoryrequirements.Thisroleprovidesdirectsupervisiontocoworkerswithintheassignedperioperativearea,andservesastheprimaryoperationalandclinicalresourceforcoworkersduringtheassignedshiftordesignatedareaofcoverage. TheSupervisorsupportstheonboarding,orientation,andtrainingofnew teammembers,conductsongoingcompetencymonitoring,deliversreal-timecoachingandfeedback,andinitiatescorrectiveactionaswarrantedinalignmentwithorganizationalpolicy. Theincumbentidentifiesandresolvesoperational,staffing,andpatientcareissuesinatimelymanner,escalatescomplexconcerns,andparticipatesinquality,safety,andperformanceimprovementactivities.Thispositionexercisesindependentjudgmentinmanagingtheday-to-daysupervisionofassignedperioperativecoworkersandtheoperationalactivitiesofthedesignatedunit,area,orshift.
