Materials PlannerMaterials Planner Glanbia Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey The Opportunity The materials planner works cross functionally with procurement, production, supply chain team members and other internal teams to ensure the right raw material supply plans are in place and executed as planned. This role requires a detail oriented, analytical, and proactive professional who can help drive decisions to drive important key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will report to the Material Planning Manager.ResponsibilitiesEnsure current business is delivered to customers on time.Monitor stock positions, safety stock levels, and expiration risks for raw materials and finished goods.Set safety stock levelsWork with Procurement to proactively identify and communicate potential risk materials, define recovery plans and drive action to resolve.Partner with demand planning to deliver new businessIdentify potential raw material issues based on new and updated demand forecastsDefine actions to mitigate risk & drive actions (including with partner functions) to managePartner with category management for seasonal raw material supply planningAnalyze, track and report out on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on time delivery to customer, inventory turns, and frequent problem materials.Participate in projects to improve processes, service levels, efficiency, inventory, space, and cost.The Skills you will bring to the teamBachelor's degree in operations, business administration (operations focused), supply chain or similar degree is required.Experience working within ERP systems is preferred, particularly SAP knowledgeStrong analytical skills and ability to translate data to drive decisionsExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross functionallyDemonstrated ability to use Excel to organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets, and identify trends to support operational decision-making.Where and how you will workThe opportunity will be based on-site in Sharonville, OH with the opportunity to move to hybrid (4 days in the office) once training is complete (potentially after 1 year).What we would like to offer you!The opportunity to develop your career on a global stage, continuous learning through an on-demand learning platform, and a competitive compensation package including staff discounts, generous family leave policy, health & dental plan, competitive salary.About GlanbiaGlanbia is a better nutrition company with three divisions: Performance Nutrition, Health & Nutrition and Dairy Nutrition.
