Position: CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant (Full‑Time, 2 pm–10 pm) About the Role The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs various direct resident care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), supports activities and programs, and provides essential care as needed, following standard nursing practices and procedures. Responsibilities Vital Signs & Observation: Obtain vital signs, record findings, and notify the supervising nurse of any deviations in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP). ADL Support: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, skin care, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, and positioning. Medication Assistance: Provide medication assistance, as applicable, with proper training and delegation. Mobility Assistance: Support residents with ambulation, transfers, and positioning, including wheelchair use and bed mobility. Housekeeping Support: Assist with making beds, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Documentation: Complete progress notes and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following the resident’s service plan. Communication & Safety: Report changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor, follow infection control procedures, and adhere to standard safety precautions. Resident Interaction: Demonstrate a respectful, compassionate attitude toward residents and their personal property. Professionalism: Follow dress code standards, provide proper notice for absences or tardiness, and comply with all community policies and procedures. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned within the CNA scope of practice. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience: Six months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Certification: Completion of a skills competency evaluation required. Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend English. Training: Must complete a minimum of 12 hours of in‑service education annually. Additional Requirements: Must pass a criminal background check, not be listed on the Employee Misconduct Registry, and have reliable transportation.
