Department: Respiratory Care / Pulmonary Services
Reports To: Respiratory Care Manager / Director of Clinical Services
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in South Florida. The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care and treatment to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders, including administering oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and mechanical ventilation
\n - \n
Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing
\n - \n
Monitor ventilators and adjust settings based on patient condition and physician orders
\n - \n
Provide patient education on respiratory care and disease management
\n - \n
Respond to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response calls
\n - \n
Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments in EMR systems
\n - \n
Adhere to infection control policies and safety standards
\n - \n
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans
\n

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
\n - \n
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred; CRT accepted in some cases
\n - \n
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
\n - \n
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
\n - \n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n - \n
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
\n
