Beverage Control Clerk

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Beverage Control, the Beverage Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining an accurate and efficient inventory of all beverage-related products that supply the Food & Beverage (F&B) Department venues and bars. Plays a key role in ordering, maintaining, stocking, tracking and adjusting all F&B related inventory at various Yaamava' Resort & Casino venues while performing maintenance on all bar equipment and systems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Manages the delivery and warehousing of Food & Beverage products from vendors and the Service Center for multiple venues, including the handling and transportation of single items that are rare and highly valued at $200,000 or more. Deliveries may also include internal and external customers.
• Orders all beverage related items directly from vendors for the entirety of Yaamava' Resort and Casino. Ensures all beverage items received are rotated, stored, and issued in accordance with the operational standards of first in, first out (FIFO). Ensures the proper change of all kegs, CO2, nitrogen tanks, as well as liquor bottles, for all venues.
• Monitors inventory daily to ensure adequate supplies are consistently on hand to meet projected needs based on established average levels. Maintains consistently stocked levels and an accurate inventory with an average value of $1.5 to $2 Million dollars' worth of product.
• Conducts maintenance and troubleshoots all Berg Systems (Liquor and Draft beer), Glycol Units, Keg room systems, and Pepsi equipment and Point of Sale (POS) machine issues.
• Completes and submits all beverage control-related paperwork required as required. Reports all corrections and request changes in the inventory control system as needs arise. Communicates with Purchasing, Receiving, Accounting, Beverage Management, and/or Culinary Management regarding inventories, transfers, and requisition concerns. Reports any delivery shortages or miss-picks to Food & Beverage Management.
• Performs physical inventories as directed by Beverage leadership. Conducts reconciliations of variances. Adjusts average supply levels based on changes in inventory usage to ensure adequate stock is on hand while minimizing waste.
• Cleans, prepares, and organizes all beverage storage areas as assigned. Disposes out-of-date products and submits requests to have them removed from the assets of Beverage Control and Food & Beverage locations. Ensures products are properly dated in alignment with health and safety standards when received. Holds responsibility for reporting safety violations and/or any real or personal property damage (including enterprise facilities and structures).
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Educational, Experience And Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six (6) months' experience in a warehouse and/or inventory control operation required.
• Must be at minimum 21 years of age.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (Ksa)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Microsoft Outlook and Word are required.
• Experience working with Eatec and other inventory tracking software preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be able to provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members, addressing their needs and resolving issues.
• Must be able to have clear and effective communication with guests and team members.
• Must be able to work under pressure by staying calm and efficient during busy period(s).

Required Licenses, Certifications And Registrations

• At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
• Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handlers Card.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions – Environment

• Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled Casino and Resort setting.
• Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
• Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
• Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Sedentary work: involves sitting some of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
• Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
• Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
• Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
• Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
• Must present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with departmental policy.
• The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
